Secret lost their King

The post Spring Tour shuffle is on.

Team Secret are set to enter the final tour of the 2022 Dota Pro Circuit with a revamped roster as they wave goodbye to The King, Syed "SumaiL" Hassan.

SumaiL departs from the team about six months since he joined, in the post TI10 shuffle. Coming from a disappointing run at TI10 with OG in the carry position, SumaiL returned to the mid lane when he joined Team Secret. However, he played position 2 only in the first season, and after a fifth place finish in the Western European league, he made the swap back to carry.

But changing roles didn’t yield a different result in the Spring Tour. Team Secret placed once again fifth and missed the chance to play at the first Major of the year, ESL One Stockholm. And as the Major is approaching the finish line, this weekend in Sweden, Team Secret are first to start the shuffle in the Western Europe region.

Team Secret current roster:

Michał “Nisha” Jankowski
Daryl Pei Xiang “iceiceice” Koh
yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat
Clement “Puppey” Ivanov

This iteration of Team Secret has always had issues,” captain Puppey commented on the roster change. “We were trying to solve problems with role swapping or finding a better philosophy to play the game but ultimately we couldn’t achieve consistency and fell flat. When things don’t work out, it’s best to just move on. Change is a reliable pursuit towards progress. No hard feelings.”

No additional information was revealed on Team Secret’s plans moving forward, but fans shouldn’t have too long of a wait before the new roster will be introduced.

Per Valve’s rules, all the teams that play in the DPC have time until the first Tuesday after the Major to remove their players. The rosters will become locked at 11:59am PT Tuesday, May 24, meaning that any player removal after that, will incur DPC points deduction. However, the teams have time to register their new additions until Sunday, at 11:59 a.m PT.
